Résumé

El trauma psicológico ha sido identificado como un problema crítico con consecuencias a corto y largo plazo en el desarrollo de las y los menores (Peterson, 2018). Este estudio tuvo como objetivo sintetizar la evidencia sobre intervenciones para la prevención y el tratamiento del trauma en menores de 0 a 18 años. Se realizó una revisión de la literatura científica con el propósito de identificar y evaluar intervenciones de cinco clearinghouses y tres bases de datos académicas. Los integrantes de la Junta de Prácticas Basadas en Evidencia para Puerto Rico (JPBE-PR) evaluaron 27 intervenciones dirigidas al trauma en menores, de las cuales cuatro se enfocaron en la prevención, 20 en el tratamiento y tres en ambos aspectos. De estas, 21 intervenciones fueron clasificadas como prometedoras, cinco como efectivas y una como eficaz. Estos resultados sugieren que, aunque existe un número significativo de intervenciones, prevalece una necesidad apremiante de estudios adicionales que solidifiquen el nivel de evidencia científica de estos programas. Esta revisión busca proporcionar una herramienta útil en Puerto Rico y Latinoamérica para promover investigaciones basadas en evidencia para la prevención y tratamiento del trauma en menores.
