Desarrollo y Validación del Indicador de Bienestar del Sueño
Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito desarrollar y validar preliminarmente un instrumento para medir el bienestar del sueño. Un total igual a 794 personas empleadas que trabajaban al menos 20 horas a la semana y que tuviesen 21 años de edad o más, participaron en el estudio. Se desarrollaron 35 reactivos en total para medir el bienestar del sueño, de estos cinco para la subescala de cantidad/duración de sueño, 15 para la subescala de calidad del sueño y 10 para la subescala de consecuencias relacionadas al sueño. Se realizaron análisis de reactivos individuales por cada una de las diferentes subescalas. Se realizaron varios análisis de factores exploratorios y un análisis de factores confirmatorio usando el modelo de ecuaciones estructurales para examinar la estructura interna del IBS. Se estableció la confiabilidad de los 12 reactivos de la versión final del IBS y sus subescalas mediante el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach y se crearon normas preliminares para interpretar las puntuaciones que se obtengan del mismo. Los resultados de los análisis de factores, en especial el confirmatorio, apoya la estructura interna tridimensional jerárquica. Mientras que los coeficientes de confiabilidad fluctuaron entre .79 a .86. De esta forma, los resultados proveen evidencia de la validez y confiabilidad del instrumento creado para medir el bienestar del sueño de forma subjetiva.
